Wild Plants -- white flowers
I have sorted plants by flower color . The idea is to make it easier for you to identify your wild plant from the photos or at least a name to search for more information about it for a better ID . Always Search for more information before deciding on a positive ID . I have never been 100% correct about anything . Some plants may be listed under more than one color .Comments..........If you click on any photo it will probably enlarge and a comment box will appear under the photo at the bottom of the page . You can click on it if you wish to leave a comment but I will not know who made the comment unless you ID yourself . It is set up so there is no way for me to know the email addy or name .I can not answer you unless you leave your addy .Ive been interested in wild plants for the last 40 years or more .It started with seeing a weed , wild flower or wild plant and asking other people what it might be . I got some books from the library and took a beginning course in herbalism . I don't consider myself anywhere nearly qualified enough to call myself an herbalist and my interest had a shotgun quality to it . I wanted to know more than what medicinal properties and uses a weed/wild plant might have but also what hidden --to me-- culinary , structural , religious/magical and just plain survival uses it might possess . In my mind the wild plants are God's garden . People didn't put them there . Even if they simply escaped from where people had put them they are God's garden ..I have only included plants that I have found and photographed in my home area of central Wisconsin . The majority of them on my home property or within 2 miles of it . Even so people from Europe , Africa and Asia might recognize many of them . The advent of computers and digital cameras has been vitally instrumental in my being able to do this . Unfortunately the technical aspects of all of this new stuff sometimes threatens to fry my limited old brain . These home plants deserve to have their story told though . I wont go into detail on how to use the plants in a medicinal way . Only that in some part or way or combination they have a history of medicinal or other use .Some of them have proved themselves in modern times . Some have proved to be useless so far .Some have prooved to be very dangerous .You might be surprised to learn how many uses there are for trees and shrubs other than just lumber , fruit , berries and as an ornamental .. I am NOT recomending the use of any of them . Your computer or library can help you find out much more about plants . The use of more than one photo of each plant is for helping to ID wild plants . Not because they are fabulus photos . But then I am getting better with the camera . Nearly every photo has a caption with some info or will have shortly after I post them .Comments..........If you click on any photo it will probably enlarge and a comment box will appear under the photo at the bottom of the page . You can click on it if you wish to leave a comment but I will not know who made the comment unless you ID yourself . An Email is sent to me telling me that a comment has been made and then I can either post it or not . It is set up so there is no way for me to know the email addy or name .There have been about 150 total comments so far . They do not show on the site unless I choose to post them . Newly added photos are the last shown photos in an album . So if you come back again go to the last few pages of an album to see if anything new has been added since your last visit .Bill Hoppe
